On behalf of the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture, GEFA Exportservice GmbH is organising this business trip together with its experienced partner, CMA Global Partners.

The US market is one of the most important third-country markets for exporters of German food products. In 2023, German food industry exports to the USA totalled 2.13 billion euros. High-quality, healthy and varied foods are particularly popular in urban centres such as New York. With 782,000 tonnes of food exported in 2023, the previous record of 784,000 tonnes exported in the pre-coronavirus year of 2019 was almost reached again. In principle, there are good opportunities for German exporters in this leading global sales market. However, very demanding import conditions must be met and consistent market investment is required in the medium term. This business trip is intended to provide German exporters with the necessary tools to enter this growth market.
